Southern Scuffle 2019

Mackall and Degen were the big disappointments. Coleman and Colbray just ran into guys that are better than they are right now. I think Colbray can beat Smith, just not quite there yet. Coleman has a little ways until he's challenging top 5 guys, but he's only a Freshman and will keep improving.

Looking back at Degens match, he definitely looked a little tired. Going to the very last overtime in the match before wrestling Berge had an impact. Lesson: win the match in regulation :)

Chase got 7th. His guy defaulted out

Degen gets Rohlfing again & Colbray get Ducharme again

So, what do we think?

- Mackall has an unranked guy, but did qualify for NCAAs last year
- Small same thing (won’t count for team score)
- Degen avenge his loss? Telling you, he had problems with length last year too. OU comes to mind
- Straw already won
- Coleman has a match he could really use. I think he will get it, but the Finesilver clan is pretty tough
- Colbray should win, right?
- Gremmel should be favored?

*Gomez/Fix: just sit back and don’t blink?

Absolutely terrible stall call against Mackall at the end of regulation. He loses 5-6 and takes 6th.

I'll have to rewatch it. But it seemed Mackall had his back to the center of the circle on the edge of the mat. His opponent whizzered him around and forced him out of bounds. If that is how the rule book reads, they need to fix that yesterday.

Gomez holding his own against fix in 2nd prd down 3 to 1. Meanwhile Small is up on his opponent in the second. In the 5th place match
