I know him and long before he had this segment. He isn't an Iowa fan but he has a personality that prefers the winner. People forget he said the exact opposite thing about Iowa 3 years ago. He said then Iowa State was the fun team and the team young kids want to support after wins vs. OSU and the basketball team gaining success and Iowa fans are angry ISU is fun and this is how ISU will grow as a fan base etc. He is right this year reversed that momentum (along with the demise in football the last 2.5 years). I think that is what he was trying to say but the way he said it was that no kid would pick isu was dumb. Or that some of these kids picked isu 2 years ago etc. I saw a lot of Iowa fans at kinnick last year with kido wherein ISU gear. I have yet to see the opposite but am sure some were created this year.
