This could be true. I saw a video on Twitter that showed her wearing hawk gear after the cyhawk game. I’ll try to find it. Even if she went to isu if she’s repping the hawks during the cyhawk game, she’s a hawk.
I mean, he and his wife were so excited after ISU won at Texas during the CPR years that they rented a limo to drive them up to Jack Trice so they could welcome the team when they got back. I think it's safe to say they root for ISU too.

This is the first year I've really listened to KXNO on a somewhat regular basis and I don't think there's any intentional animosity towards Iowa State on Murph and Andy. They do treat Iowa/ISU differently though.
An example I've heard a few times this year, that has stuck out to me is after Iowa State wins a game, Murph and Andy seem to caveat a win with "Iowa State beat a bad team and that's what you should do to bad teams.....". Conversely, Iowa beats Purdue and it's "Iowa tops a tough Purdue team" (Purdue had won two games before facing Iowa). Nothing egregious but in their minds, Iowa's wins seem to be much more impressive than Iowa State's. Maybe that's based on Iowa offense but they're treating Iowa's opponents as far superior.

I have never made a bet to wear the other teams colors and did not consider that. That very well could be it. Show still sucks and leans very heavy toward the hawks.
This is bad journalism or bad radio or whatever you want to call it when ISU's schedule on average over the past decade is #11 and Iowa's is #38.
What are they going to do in the future when Iowa actually has harder schedules than ISU for the first time in most of our lives? Just keep the same narrative and ignore how they lied about it for decades?
In basketball it's even more egregious since ISU's conference is as dominant as the SEC is in football and the Big Ten hasn't been very good in hoops since MSU beat us in the Elite Eight nearly a quarter century ago.
Murph was just on his soapbox on the news at 4:30. He was kinda scratching his head on South Carolina jumping up to #1. Also had to get in that Clark is now the all time leading scorer at Iowa. I think he may have wet himself.
He said on his show this afternoon that he understood why South Carolina jumped Iowa because they had 2 very impressive wins. The confirmation bias in this thread is hilarious.
Some of you just choose to stay ignorant to the fact that they are entertainers that pander to their audience. The show has been around a long time and there are way more Hawkeye fans in general. I mean the radio Sound Off goes for what 3 or 4 hours after Iowa games? Chris and Jack get like 5 callers on their post game.
ISU fans only cheer on 3rd downs, they only watch/listen to things that are ALL ISU, they don't give money to make it better on the whole, and they think the world is against them. Classic victim mentality. I love this school and our dedicated fanbase, but I think I see the reality of the world we live in.

Well Murph's ISU wife did let her son go to Iowa so that should be a frowny face
Well if that's the case they need some work because the show is not entertaining at all.
Iowa has more fans because they have the tavern crowd who have no true affiliation to either university.
ISU has had one of the worst historical football records in the Big 12, yet we have the largest football stadium in the new Big 12. Why? Because there is no fan base that's more dedicated than Cyclone Nation.
If Iowa had to play our football schedule year after year, their record would be very mediocre and their stadium would be half empty.
Want an example of how fair weather the Iowa fans are? Just compare size of today's crowds at Iowa men's basketball games vs Iowa women's basketball games. It's a joke.
There’s definitely truth to this, but eastern Iowa fans complaining that there is any ISU coverage there at all is the flip side of the same coin. Both fanbases have complexes, and I don’t think it would take the show being “ALL” ISU to get ISU fans interested, at least the vast majority. If anything, that is true of Iowa fans who seem to be aggravated by any mention of ISU. That might be a big part of why the show slants that way.
That said, I don’t watch SoundOff or listen to KXNO, and why should I? Just treat ISU as an equal I’d be more inclined. This is central Iowa, after all, and many other businesses manage to do that.
To you. Seems there is a reason they are still going after all these years. I don't watch it anymore either, but not because I think they are homers. Even though Sears clearly is and his personality is why I stopped watching.
