Something to discuss.....

He certainly allowed both defenses to be aggressive. He was very consistent with not calling anything.
 
Iowa has a great defense, but their offense is just not good overall. It pains me to say that because I'd prefer believing ISU's defense was the only reason they struggled, but it isn't true. I realize Iowa's schedule is Bishop Sycamore variety stuff, but offensively they play like a team that needs three or more turnovers to win.
I am not sure that EIU's defense is any better than ISU's, they take the ball away better, but was that one them or us? Factor in that their defense was taking the field with us backed up in the shadow of the endzone most of the game that has to be figured into the equation. The EIU offense had 173 total yards yesterday and the great EIU defense gave up 339.

I can't disagree, but one point: A defense wins games for you by getting turnovers/scoring. ISU's defense plays good enough to win, Iowa's won the game for them. As good as ours is, they haven't done that, and it isn't their fault. It is just how the ball bounces 80% of the time.
