To compare this kid to Lucca is not fair. The kid comes from a rodeo family. I have to think he is tougher than 99% of the people on this board and nearly all of the players who have played under McDermott. Couple this with a lights out shooter and I will be more than happy to roll the dice on him if we are lucky enough for him to choose Iowa State.

Well, if he comes from a rodeo family then all is settled. Maybe if his shots aren't falling he can at least rope an opposing player and hog tie them

Well he said St. Louis was improving and ISU was not. Nothing was said about St. Louis beating ISU. So good logic on your part....

Further, while we may have beat St. Louis, there season was much better than ours and I believe they are actually still playing. So again good logic on your part Greg.

So what is going on with Clyburn? i havent heard anything new about him forever. I'd rather see him on Isu than Barnes. clyburn scored 54 and barnes signed wit Liberty before changing his mind. must be excellent!!
 
Going to the NIT, with st louis' schedule proves nothing, I repeart, nothing about whether they are an improving team, or have a better coach than ISU.
 
McDermott gave up too early on eik in my opinion. kid was small but much better ball player than lucca.

Let's bank all schollies until we get a new coach that knows what he's doing. ISU BB is an absolute mess right now and I've been following the program for many, many years. Is it possible for Pollard to still pull the trigger on GM this year? Maybe Pollard is out lurking around trying to find the best coach and we don't know it. Just wishful thinking.

McDermott didn't give up on Eik. He tried to convince Eik to stay but Eik didn't think he could play in the Big 12.

Don't think so

Dendy is staying and I think Colvin will as well. So we should be good to go from here on out. Hamilton was a killer though. I actually think we could have been better next year even with the 2 key loses b/c I think Phillips is key

SLU isn't playing in the NIT, they are in the CBI, but still they are playing. And to even argue if their coach is better than ours is laughable. Their coach has been to 11 NCAA tournaments, a final four and a national championship game. McD has been to a Sweet 16 game routing on the sidelines for his alma matter. That's about it. Anyway you cut it, Majerus is a better coach.
 
I would LOVE Clark, WIlkins and one scoring guard (even if a defensive liability).

That would really give good hope for next year for SOMETHING.

I have my fingers crossed. I feel silly for getting my hopes back up.... but I guess thats being a Cyclone fan
