Solomon Young thought about transferring

Solo has been one of my favorite Prohm recruits and man would that have been a kick in the nuts to have him leave. Glad he stuck with it and is reaping the rewards of all his hard work now. I shared this before but will here again, the Big 12 had a great feature on him in January

Love Solo! Any explanation why he didn't play the last 10 minutes last night. Boggles my mind. We could have used his inside game and possible free throws last night.

Prohm goes with the hot lineup or guys playing the best. Jacobson and Conditt played better against. OSU.

I like Soloman, but his poor rebounding makes it tough to play him when we go with 4 perimeter players. Not sure how a player can improve his rebounding- but it needs to be Soloman's focus over the summer.

Because as much as I love Solo he played like garbage and was ineffective.

I lump Solo and Lewis in the same category of good players with a hitch or two in their game. Biggest difference is Solo plays smarter, generally. Both have their wow moments and both have their wow moments. Both do a few things well, but both have a pretty severe limitation or two in their game as well. For Solo, it would be rebounding + elite athleticism. For Terrence, defense + situational awareness.

He would be crazy not to think about it.. every year under prohm it has taken the guards half the season to figure out that throwing it inside a few times a game won’t in fact kill them. I don’t imagine rebounding and a few put backs a game on missed threes are what high school post players think their college careers are going to consist of.

I agree but until this year we had the pieces around him to not have to go inside out.

The post you quoted was hardly "making it about CSP", but I will. Does no one else find it concerning that the player that has been here the longest felt he could not talk to his coaches about his concerns? That he didn't know what his role was now or in the future? That he didn't know if it was all worth it?

Every one of us has wondered these things from the outside looking in about Solo, Wiggington, Lewis, etc. Yet CSP either can't see it from the inside or flat out refuses to address it.

He couldn't even talk to his MOM. And I've had the same concerns at every stage of my life and never felt I had to open up to my boss OR my Mom. My wife always listens though.
