Time for interim AD Beth Goetz to put on her muck boots again and bring AJ and Tommy Brands into her office. Then, tell AJ he is done at Iowa and get ready to hightail it out of town and transfer again. If he hurries he can get into his next school by semester start-up. If he doesn't like it... tough.
Finally, she can remind Tom that she is done with the antics and bs of the past from her coaches, and that she is not going to accept it from Iowa's student athletes either. Tell him to spread the word because she really would prefer to retire the muck boots she has to keep putting on.

So 2020 was Covid and no NCAA occurred
2021 was AJ's true freshman year when he won and doesn't count against eligiblity
2022 AJ was not in school, so I assume used Redshirt year
2023 would be AJ's RSoph year
So this year would be RJr year.
So is next year his last, since he was in high school during the Covid ?

Not sure if all this is 100% correct or I understand Covid correctly.
Think this would be where Kysen's eligibility would be, but Kysen would probably get a medical Redshirt for last year if he wants it

Correct on Kyven & Redding are both Sophomores (If they want to use Covid year and Med RS). AJ started college the same year but has not RS so he has 3 years to wrestle 2 (counting this year). AJ would be classified as a Junior this year.

I would think that depends a lot on how they figure into future plans.

I am not sure about this. Once you start college your clock starts….5 years to compete in 4 as attached to school. That is why if you “grey shirt” you can only take a couple credits/classes at a community college like DMACC.

Would seem if he is brought in the guy he wrestled could be yet another guy run off for bringing that family in.

That clock is ticking whether in school or not. He would have a year in the NAIA ranks but not NCAA. Its 5 years to complete 4, then the Covid year on top.

You just can't be full time at a school. Full time is 12 credits. So 11 and less would be okay.
