Not debating the morals, I have no idea what he does or doesn't do in his free time. But honest question, when has he ever been linked to higher profile jobs offering more money? I don't recall his name coming up with any big openings recently.

He hasn't really flirted with anything since Texas A&M when they hired Billy Kennedy. Jake turned down what they offered money wise and they wen't another (cheaper) way. Its going to take a lot to get him out of Cedar Falls.

I do not see Tony Bennett leaving Virginia for Wisconsin. Seems like it would be a solid fit, but I just don't seem him wanting the Wisky job that bad

I hadn't paid attention to how little UNI scored in the second half. Has anyone else scored only 15 points in the second half and still beaten a ranked team? Wow!

For most coaches, Wisconsin is probably less attractive than Virginia. But Bennett is from Wisconsin, was an assistant there and his dad coached there. That's why he'd "go home".

Yeah I agree. He has had chances to get out but he loves UNI. He hasn't really pursued any other job. Can't really blame him, either. Iowa is perfectly set up for his type of program. Since the state rarely produces a ton of Big 12 or B1G talent, he can generally take his pick of players from throughout the state.

It's not something that I heard from one guy that doesn't like him or something like that . I'm not close to the program up there or actually care other about what they have going on up there. I was just stating what seemed to have some truth behind it from the sources that have talked about it and told me various things about him over the years. Continue to be amazed at Jacobson's ability to take kids that aren't considered high major players and mold them into a cohesive unit that's much greater than the sum of its parts.

I feel sorry for the 5 or 6 seed that's gonna have to face them 1st round. Looking for UNI to wreck an awful lot of brackets.
