Snow & Cold...

I thought Bad Seamstress Blues/Fallin' Apart at the Seams was the start to Long Cold Winter?

Nice

We can never hear too much about the most beautiful place on earth :)

I actually didn't much care for Jamaica. Sure it's got some beautiful parts, but there are parts of the US that are just as gorgeous, if not moreso.

My big issue with it was the abject poverty. It's just a depressing place to go, IMO.

It really does open your eyes! Seeing the houses and shops in the country is sad too, but you also get to see how they make use of everything! One person told us that she was getting rid of a rug and a national asked if they could have it. They use and reuse lots of things.

I have lived in the heat and the cold.

You can only take so many clothes off in the heat, and even after doing so you are still miserable.

If it is cold just put more clothes on. I've never been anywhere where it was too cold if I was properly dressed. I've even camped and slept in 40 degree below weather and was comfortable.

I really wouldn't want to live anyplace where air conditioning is needed.

Welcome to the rest of the world. It is like that everywhere except for a few countries.

I will take 110 and humid over snow any day...
Really?

I really can't think of many things that are enjoyable to do with a 110 degree temperature and humidity. Perhaps water sports but nothing else. But I don't even remember water sports (water skiing) being fun when I lived in Las Vegas. The temperature of Lake Mead was in the 80s and didn't even offer relief from the heat.

Skiing/snowboarding down the slopes is a blast, I plan on entering several snowshoe events this winter, and snowmobiling is also fun. If I dress for the weather I'm not cold, in fact I can be quite comfortable.

You can stuff you Jamaicas in a sack! (Jealous, wife can't fly, be on a boat for long periods, or sit in a car for more than two hours, and I probably wouldn't get away with going without her.)

I think they make medication for some of that, unless it's a panic attack...

Take a two week trip to a coast and only drive a bit at a time :)
