Didn't see this posted anywhere else. For anyone who didn't see the game last night between OK and Baylor. Sure hope the guy is alright :spinny:

At first I thought it was kind of neat to watch Baylor have a run of success. It was a good story. Getting good recruits, having a high-powered offense, etc...but now it's time for them to get knocked down a peg or two. I'm glad they lost last night.

Yeah. I was gonna say, I think his teammate just knew he was hurt and was trying to make him hit the deck so he could come out before the play. The injured guy either didn't know what to do or wanted to stay in. I don't think it was deliberate at all.

Kirk Herbstreit tried calling it as a fake injury and a "bush league" or soccer type play. Play by play Chris Fowler was skeptical of Homer Herbie ' s opinion. I still think Herbie has a bone for all the Baylor and Big 12 fans that jumped his shirt after he lobbied hard for the Buckeyes to make the playoffs last year.

He was rediculous last year with tOSU using only specific statistics he cherry picked to pound his drum. He can get bent.
I did see this play live. Had me laughing pretty good.

Teams should be fined or penalized somehow for this after the game.

Herbstreet better not want to hold Oklahoma's Texas loss against them if they keep rolling to 11-1. It's going to end up a very similar loss to getting beat by VaTech at home last year for OSU and we know he didn't think that mattered.

There are other legal ways to get guys out of the game without having a teammate encourage the guy to fall to the ground. He was up and moving around OK, it seemed......and if that was the case, he could have made it to the sideline on his own during the dead ball, called time out, or the coaching staff could have called a time out if they thought he needed to be taken out of the game. We see guys hobble off the field all the time without causing a stoppage of play.

As long as Briles is at Baylor they will always be a top 10-15 team..every year. When Briles leaves...which won't be for another 10 years+ then Baylor will fall again.

If a player is hurt there is no wrong way to protect a players health. The Baylor player wanted to stay in the game and finally realized he couldn't. His teammate was smart to tell him to hit the deck.

If the Baylor player tried to run off the field, OU could have snapped the ball and OU could have turned it into a big play. Even if he gets off the sideline, not likely his sub would have gotten into position. BU could have taken a timeout, but why should they if a player is injured. Not like the refs would give BU the TO back when they realized he was hurt.

Shame on Herbstreit for his bush league comments. I hope he was man enough to call Briles directly and apologize. A twitter apology is weak. Kind of like breaking up with a girlfriend via email. That said in reading Herbstreit's twitter "apology", I saw more excuses/justification for his comments than a heart-felt apology.
