Sleeping Giant

Royce was one and done like a HS player could be. We had Babb McGee and Booker playing for a few years. It's not a whole lot different. I understand the point with like Lucious and Allen.. But you can't expect many for year starters. ESPECIALLY if we do become a giant.

Hoiberg was obviously working toward that anyhow. I think the sleeping giant they woke up is this year's team. I'm really excited for this postseason.

Iowa got mad again and it didn't help them any. I'm all for being mad but until we beat them I done give a ****. KU isn't just going away.

I don't disagree that ISU has talented players coming in, but how is next year year 1 with Fredy's guys? White, Allen, Babb, McGee, Booker, Lucious, Niang, Clyburn, Ejim, are all Hoiberg's guys.

Agree. The year 1 statement was asinine. You don't get to pick when to start the clock. I think Fred has done a great job and I don't have to manipulate the facts to illustrate it.

They deny that we matter to them... but the amount of butthurt theyre showing about this game says differently.

They can see that we're rapidly becoming a program theyre going to have to worry about again. Another northern basketball school that has shown an ability to have success in the past.

Exactly.

They are acting just like Iowa football fans circa 2005ish. They deny the rivalry, but actions speak louder than words, and the more they attack our fanbase and talk about us, the more they prove they care.

The difference, to me at least, is that Iowa could kind of get away with that since it's a non-conference rivalry. Kansas really needs to embrace the situation. Mizzou is gone and they really need one of the other 5 non-Texas schools to emerge as a real heated rival. It's good for their program too, whether they admit it or not.

Ehh. Iowa couldn't get away with it. The rest of the country sees ISU as Iowa's rival, and I think outside of a few internet yahoos, Iowa's fans are over denying the rivalry.

ISU probably would never be KU's chief rival unless we start winning league titles, but we aren't just another game on the schedule either.

Iowa State has been a good team that has been a little pest for Kansas, but Monday night, they made a huge mistake. They made ISU mad. No longer will Kansas just be seen as the top opponent in the conference. They are now our HATED rival. They woke the sleeping giant and from now on its payback time. You've enjoyed your fun, but it's over. You are now our ***** KU.

Get back to us when you have paid of the officials like KU has. We can compete at that point.

Well, today didn't look so good... so its hard to say that we are dominating them when they killed us in two overtimes and beat us soundly today. Let's hope that we get another shot at them in the tourney.

We got completely dominated today! Kansas played like crap and we still got crushed. They shoved us around the whole second half and we did nothing.
