Sledge not Happy in Ames?

He is one i will be shocked if he is here next year. With Naz coming in and our apparant terrance samuel interest......not sure how he sees the floor.
 
Someone posted something about his Facebook status a few days ago that was pretty negative.
 
I sure hope not, i would really like to see him develop. I think he has a lot of potential.
 
I don't understand that at his size, he isn't a more natural point guard. Something big must be missing if he didn't see the floor in that Drake game.
 
He is like any other freshman coming in. He thinks he is so good he should be starting over upper classman. Some freshman can like John Wall and Harrison Barnes but he is along way from where those two were their freshman years.
 
I'm sure that guy just went from that Facebook status. But if Sledge does end up leaving that will be too bad. I was excited to watch him play and see him dunk on some people.
 
I thought it was pretty well known now that there were lots of rumors of his transferring prior to the 'facebook thing'

He looked pretty unexcited at the Drake game in warm ups, but so did everyone else.

He looked and sounded very happy and pumped before the GVSU and the Lehigh game though.
 
so you're saying a hot shot freshman who isn't playing 2 games into his career is unhappy? that seems normal.
 
I think he will be gone. I hope he stays, but if you are a freshman and have the attitude of you think you're better than everyone else....then get the **** out.
 
Pretty old rumor but I can't verify that it's true.

I had heard a month ago that he wasn't as good as the staff thought. That happens. What happens from there is not always clear.
 
It probably would be best for him to transfer to the Summit League or MVC and go play. He is talented but he is another scoring guard and Iowa State already has a log jam of them and based on the recruits coming in that won't change.

I do suspect Sledge will leave the program at some point. I'd like to see his scholarship go to a JUCO transfer that is a pass first point guard. Someone like Deverell Biggs out of Seward would be great.

His scholarship is alreardy spoken for...Long.
 
Maybe they should play him a little bit to see if he isn't good enough? If I was a coach I would just let him play some and if he really struggles then you know. Unless he is just totally struggling in practice.
