"Signing Day" Thread- Monday

Not happy about possibly losing Bellamy, but I also expect it to happen.

At this point, I am expecting Marry and Mars to ISU.

Would like to see a shocker like BeShears committing back to ISU instead of KU.

I know that stars don't always mean much, but how big would it be to get two 4 star recruits, in spite of the coaching change and a 10 game losing streak. Last time we got more than one 4 star recruits was in 2004.

Makes me think that maybe investing in facilities has more of a impact on recruiting then some think.

Speaking of Bailey Johnson... has anybody heard if he will make it back next year from his injury? Or even what his injury was?

Just hoping he didn't destroy his knee or do something else that could be career-ending.

he will be back, almost healthy

Better facilities= better talent no doubt. Also that Jack Trice was pretty much full last season spite only having 2 wins= Great fan base!! I like surprises too. Oh spring game how fun it will be and this season fingers crossed!!

other names who still have offers according to rivals, but im not sure if thats updated since the new staff...

Larvez Mars (LB)
Mike Marry (LB)
Justin Jones (LB)
Bradley Wallace (ATH)
Denzel Davis (CB)
Kenneth Jenkins (S)
Fabrice Pratt (S)

Problem is I would like to see these 4 guys in Cardinal and Gold. We need more schollies.

I'm going to love seeing what Herman has done with the offense

Is anybody else excited about the receivers/TE's we have on the team. I will call it right now that Collin Franklin has the most receptions next year on the team---he is going to benefit a great deal in the new offense. Throw in Johnson, Darks, Jones, Hamilton, Bykowski (came on strong at end of the year), and the 4 receivers we brought in, I feel that this is the best group of pass catchers ISU has had ever.

I think DD will lead it receptions. SJ will lead in td's and yards. and Money, Hamilton, Houston, Bellamy, Blanton, Franklin are all solid contributors

I'm not going to make any predictions about the incoming class, but this should be one of the best groups of receivers that we've had, and with AA throwing the ball, it should be an exciting year.

I like the spread of the class. We've got 6 kids from Texas and Cali. We got another 4 from Florida, 2 from OK and home state kids. A kid from Wisky and a new spot too in Joe PA country. Recruting coast to coast, go State!

It makes me want to take a few personal hours so i can sit at home at watch the names role in. I had to have my wife email them to me last year, i damn near crapped my pants when she sent me Sed's name in the afternoon!

Hopefully everyones parents know where they are committing to this year.

Don't forget Lonzie Range, I think he was the scout team player of the year last year. On the call in show Monday AA also named another receiver to watch. Think a walk-on from Iowa.

Yeah, very exciting, but add another name.

Last night Austen Arnaud was a guest on the weekly radio call-in show (Mac couldn't make it). Austen raved about a JUCO transfer, 6-4, 220, Andrew Mitchell (iirc), a receiver.

I believe Austen said Andrew is from Ft. Dodge, and the two played against one another during their high school years. Austen was upbeat about Mitchell. Austen says Andrew has two years to play.
