Obviously after today’s game he’ll start the next two. If we lose against WVA or TT do you redshirt him and limp thru the rest of the season with KK and Zeb to save his 4 years????
Let the discussion begin!
Go Cyclones

Is the season over if we lose to WVU or TT? If Purdy gives us the best chance to win keep playing for a bowl.

With him at QB we are going to win 8 or 9 games so no you don’t redshirt him.

I maintain ISU can run the table starting next week. WVU and TX only games to worry about. IF so, you play Purdy. Seemed to play w the tempo Campbell wants and clearly will open up the playbook and get the ball to his play makers, including DM when he is healthy.

Play him if it means we can keep the offense clicking. Plus it banks a redshirt in case of a medial issue down the line.

If the defense and offense continue to improve on what I see today, every game left on the schedule is winnable.

We just witnessed the best performance by a QB this year...heck by any ISU player this year..and this thread is whether or not to RS him? Lol.

Purdy will start and finish every game moving forward if he’s able to...Kid is the real deal. It’s not like he’s just a little mobile and surprised OSU...kid is incredibly accurate...has an arm..has very very quick feet and a ton of moxy..

If it were late November and the season were a wash and it were still an option vs. eligibility, sure.

But this was game 5, and a win next week will make things feel like a brand new season with big things possible.

Meh. Richardson’s breakout game was against a ****** Kansas team.

We don't know what OSU will end up like though. It wasn't a secret that they don't play defense very well.

Big difference is that there's more playmakers available than what Richardson had to work with...pretty much his whole career.

I’d have to go back to double check, but I’m pretty sure this OSU team has already won more games than that Kansas team did all year.
