Talk to a tax person about the real estate proceeds. If there is liability there you want to minimize it and you don't want any surprises. Lots of good ideas already posted beyond that.

Unless you think rates are going down I think it’s crazy to lock money up in a CD for that type of rate when money markets are paying 2.45%.

For reals though, we have a high yield savings account with Synchrony - currently at 2.2%.
