Shingles!

OP- Knowing you, it is probably not shingles at all, just an overexposure to Sac County girls growing up. Get well, you have 2 key games to keep track of tomorrow.

Had a friend get them when he was 22, after he got hit by a random bullet someone shot into the air. Doctor said in younger people it is often stress related.

My sister has had them three times. She's not young but under a lot of stress. They seem to be getting worse for her. And she read you shouldn't get the vaccine until you are 60.

I had a good friend get them on her back and near her lady parts. She said they were the most pain she's ever experienced. She was probably about 70 when she got them.

I had some extra funds at year end in my work health account (I forget the term - where you take so much out each paycheck and it's tax free as long as you spend it on health/drugs) when I retired so I asked my doctor about it. He did say the vaccine is recommended for over 60 but said there was no reason I couldn't get it at 55, so I had it then. I did read that it's considered only about 50 or 60 percent effective so there's still the chance you can get them even if you've had the vaccine.

I didn't know if I'd had Chicken Pox as a child so they ran a blood test to confirm that. If you've never had Chicken Pox then I think they just innoculate you against that.

Whoaaa whoaaa... Come on... I grew up there also... So far nothing is wrong with me. Everything I had was cured by the doctor??

I remember when my dad got shingles. They put him on Valtrex. I came home from college and saw a magnet for valtrex on the fridge and got a good chuckle out of telling him the only thing I knew valtrex to be used for.
I can't believe you feel for the old "I swear the Valtrex is for shingles" excuse.
