we got hit pretty hard in my part of the state

Crazy strong winds last and rain last night in WDM. We had water pouring in the deck door and a mysterious drip coming from one of the bedroom door frames.

Anyone know how bad Johnston got hit last night? In particular the Green Meadows West housing edition.

I drove back to Ames from my parents house in Des Moines (took 69 north) and it looked like a lot of people lost power and all the stop lights were out. Saw some trees on power lines.

I live north of the area by a couple of miles and we got a bunch of rain and wind but I don't think there was any damage in the area.

The Llama that lives on NW100 St probably crapped itself last night though when the tree in his pasture got struck by lighting. I was probably 50 yards from that tree in my car and I had to check my drawers when I got home.

I never thought of giving him a name ... I like Larry so that is what I will start calling him when I drive by.

Was back home last night just outside of Eddyville and had golf ball size hail, did damage to my truck and my mothers brand new car. Was not happy.
