Session 2 (Day 1, evening) Thread

One of the guys I thought was key was Jon Reader. One of my favorites and he was in the quarterfinal bracket with #1 Mack Lewnes of Cornell but lewnes was beaten in the first round. I think Jon might be the highest seed left in the upper bracket but I'll have to check on that. He could possibly meet Morningstar again in the finals and that could be a huge match for us. I'm getting way ahead of myself, of course.

The Fan loss is hurting more now. That would have been sweet. He almost definitely would have been an AA versus maybe nothing now with Kennedy up next. That's a huge swing for a 3OT loss. I hope he can come back... but should have never been. (sorry about the negativity... my wife doesn't want to hear it either so you guys have to).

I used to thing you WERE Nick Fanthorpe till I pmed you and you told me you weren't. I've gotten to know his parents and they are the nicest people you can imagine. I feel for Nick but I know he'll get after it in his next match.

Ha, ya his whole family is really nice. I was in the same grade as his brother, who is the starting QB for the local college here. The Fanthorpe brothers are really athletic and really good at what they do.

It is actually a medical forfiet worth 2.5 points and a bye would have only be worth 0.5 point if he wins the following match, but with the mf he gets those points even if he loses his next match.
