Seemingly never ending Iowa MBB thread (still going.....)

I'm skeptical about this team being an NCAA lock for the foreseeable future. I get the feeling JorBo is already at his ceiling.

Correct. He's not magically getting taller or much faster. You can only use the white boy tricks so often unless you're Steve Nash...and Jbo ain't Steve Nash nuh uh.

South Dakota looks pretty well-coached because they definitely don't have much athleticism. The play hard.

I just need to stop here, as I feel like I am trying to give all the credit to ISU players and coaches and that is pissing people off, they seem to want to credit the conference. If people think I don't understand that a tougher conference SOS helps, I do understand that. I am only saying that each SOS is looked at individually, that you are not "rewarded" some kind of Big12 bump or extra credit. They simply look at individual SOS and some are better than others, even within the Big12.

No, we're getting pissed off because you are making a demonstrably stupid point over and over and disregarding obvious factors.

NOBODY IS DISAGREEING WITH YOUR STATEMENT. OF COURSE TEAMS ARE EVALUATED INDIVIDUALLY.

The point Is that when you play a huge number of top ten teams, you get a ton of exposure. There is literally not one win that would have helped Iowa State as much as beating KU on the road available in the Big 10. There were legit concerns about Iowa State making the tourney in early feb and they are now a 5 seed.

You want to really gauge how tough the big 12 is? An 11-20 OU team is rated higher on KenPom than Iowa. Think about that for a second.

Are the announcers actually at Carver?

'Baer blowing right by him'.

So, no.

I don't want to say too much as ISU could very well get beat tomorrow night, but I hope it at least doesn't look like a mid-November game.

You guys ever watch the DIII championship game on ESPN while you're waiting for the Final 4 to start? That's what this game reminds me of.

Chuck Norris can put a square peg into a round hole.

Nicholas Baer has trouble splitting the double team he seldom gets.

Pisses me off every year. I think the tourney committee is looking at this NIT MACtion and saying "we done good".

Even though the score is fairly close, USD doesn't really feel like a threat at any point since early on. And Iowa has played to their level for most of this game.

He's really good at falling after the lay up.

He's scrappy and fairly quick but occasionally you can see why Texas ATM's come back vs. UNI wasn't that outrageous last year.
