This is the dangerous line of thinking for Iowa fans. They do have a nice class of freshman, but they weren't good as a team this year. They lose their best scorer and creators in Jok. Assuming that they are going to be an instant force next season still requires a bit of a leap. Other teams will bring in good players as well. They still treat basketball like it's 1996. Those were better days for them.

Hassell is a complete clown. They think just because as freshman they are in the NIT that they will all improve exponentially and be in the Final 4 in a couple years. It doesnt quite work that way.

NCAA lock for the foreseeable future? That's some Jon Miller level derp.

Can anyone give any conceivable reason for Fran's inability to win games in the tourney? I think thats 4 consecutive years now theyve lost the first game to a lower seed. Fran is 2-8 in the Big 10 tourney now if my memory is good. Thats pathetic.

Are you telling me JorBo is not going to average 17 and eight next year?

That's the thing. In college basketball now, every season is a new season with new players. Sure ISU loses a ton, and Iowa brings back a ton, but these days a team like ISU can go out and bring in a quick infusion of talent in the form of graduate transfers or JUCOs.

ISU brings back Jackson, Babb, Young, and Jakolby Long.... plus are bringing in one of the best PG's in the nation in Wigginton, as well as Terrance Lewis, Darius McNeil, and Cameron Lard. Add to that a couple more transfers or JUCOs and you never know what kind of team ISU could be putting out there.

Tough to tell. Jok received a lot of attention defensively as the #1 option this year, which didn't hurt Bohannon's numbers. Next year, he is in that role. One could see a drop
