Seemingly never ending Iowa MBB thread (still going.....)

Yep. Duke had the same exact path last year.

Casual basketball fans just don't fully understand how hard it is to get to even an elite 8. At most tourney sites, the arenas aren't filled with team A or team B's fans, they are full of basketball fans that want to watch high level basketball and when the higher seed has their hands full the crowd flips like a switch and everyone wants to see the big upset.

Hell we have people on this site that think we went to the committee and requested to play Iona and Little Rock received a bye into the second round.

It appears Miami is getting very lucky

Bwhaaaaaa! Why are you guys getting so upset over me simply using the word "luck" instead of "favorable"? I wasnt even thinking in those terms when I wrote that, just trying to point out we had an easy draw and all of a sudden 10 guys are dissecting every inch of my post.

Wait, we didn't? Now I'm really confused!

It was a bold move to not request Holy Cross for our draw but I assume the thinking was we wanted to be somewhat tested but still be able to conserve energy knowing we had Little Rock with a bye and fully rested waiting in Round 2.

Luck was a bad choice! Let's see if this helps clear things up. If you just came out and told everyone that you are a Hawkeye that would be favorable. If you just went away and quit posting your Iowa apologist comments well, that would be luck.

So you think he went through the entire year and put up those stats because nobody played D on him?

I get it, the cool thing on this board is to make fun of him because of his posture and the way he runs but the kid can play.

I think results speak for themselves, so no denying that their players have had nice seasons.

I think Bohannan and Baer both look more like UNI- type of players, and that's a good thing--play real hard, generally fundamentally sound, etc., but if someone simply gets out on them, not much happening. And this isn't an ISU vs. Iowa thing, to be clear. Part of ISU's problem is with no inside game, there's a general struggle to create. I don't know what Cook was like early in the season but he looked comfortable vs. Wisconsin and he's got nice footwork.

It's no secret that I like Iowa. Ive already made that known numerous times on here. Just because I like another team and watch a few of their games now and then doesnt mean Im a Hawkeye homer.

During ISU 5 NCAA teams you have beaten #14, #13, #12, #10, #9, and #6

ISU has beaten 1 of the top 32 seeds in 5 years. That isn't "Elite".
