What big that ISU has on the roster for next season is better than Pemsl?

And what player ISU has on the roster for next season is better than Baer?
I could say Solomon Young for both of those. Donovon Jackson is better than Baer. But even with that, you're making assumptions as if Iowa State won't be bringing in players that are better than Pemsl and Baer.

I know you'll think that's crazy then say some stat, but Solomon and DJ have played way less than your "stars" and I think I am safe in my evaluation of the players mentioned on both sides.

Way less? Pemsl only played a couple more MPG than Jackson or Young did.

okay 3 and 4 minutes respectively. But compare that to Pemsl being in the top 5 of minutes played by almost 4 minutes a game, and DJ and Solo aren't even in the top 7. Good players have to give up time when they are behind better players. It's tough to have to get thrown to the wolves when you have 4 players with Big12 honors playing ahead of you.

The fact that Young sat most of the season behind Holden and Bowie shouldn't be a sign of encouragement.

Pemsl is currently sitting behind Wagner. Young was hurt early on and has improved all season. Pemsl lost his starting spot to a 6'6 PF who can't shoot

Yeah his cracked bone in his hand didn't have anything to do with that. And him starting down the stretch in conference play when we were playing our best basketball has nothing to say for the type of player he is.

Young's at worst a draw, and Young, Jackson, Babb, Wiggington, Lewis. Maybe J Long, but we'll see about that one.

Seeing the big boy table in the distance is getting to your head.

I don't think it's likely Iowa wins 2 in the Big 10 tourney but I won't say 0 chance. I do think it's kind of funny seeing all of these Iowa fans get worked up with hope, and all of us know that it's likely going to come crashing down on Thursday or Friday. The meltdown is going to be fun to watch.

I don't think it is likely they win both either, but then again I thought it was less likely than them winning at Maryland and at Wisconsin

Outside of Wiggington ISU doesn't have a difference maker coming in. If you are outside the top 100 recruits, typically it take a year or two. Heck Thomas as a top 50ish player needed 2 years to hit his stride.

I don't know, you hit both of those teams when they were in a major funk. It seems most teams has a stretch of games that they just aren't themselves. You got lucky enough to play both Maryland and Wisconsin when they were going through that. I honestly don't think you have much chance against Indiana, but if you beat them, you have an even less chance against Wisconsin. They are going to want revenge.

for prep recruits I agree, if Lewis or McNeill contribute big minutes It will be a surprise, although I think Lewis is progressing more than even our staff expected in his final your in HS. But I am talking about the JuCo guys we are going after, we need help to solidify our front line, and I am really liking a few of the guys we are going after, think they could be immediate impact players even if they aren't putting up double doubles, a Dustin Hogue type role-player is what the team next year needs desperately, talent will be there but who is going to be the emotional leader who embodies the persona of that team? Idk, but I think We will add a couple if not 3 more pieces to our class by the time it is all said and done.
