Seemingly never ending Iowa MBB thread (still going.....)

I find the "robbed at Minnesota" argument a little off-putting. There are so many calls in the course of a year that to claim one call cost you a trip to the tournament is absurd. Frankly, there were a handful of calls last night that went against Wisconsin, so if anything you can call it even.

Kind of what I was thinking. Now they have to win two to be on the wrong side of the bubble, three to be on the good side and four to be a lock. Still don't think they make it. That robbery really hurts right now.

The Omaha and Memphis losses hurt just as bad as not winning the Minnesota game. Heck, take away the Omaha loss by itself and you are looking at 19-12(10-8), that might have been good enough to get in regardless of how the BTT goes.

I think Iowa loses to Penn State this weekend.

Of course those hurt a bunch, but Iowa was outplayed in those games and deserved to lose. Minny not so much.

Who, his kids? I've seen them play, I'm not impressed. That Muscatine kid is ok, but I'll take our 4 star recruits over him all day.
Wieskamp is pretty damn good dude. Top 40 player in the country. If he was going to Iowa State you wouldn't be saying what you are saying about him.

They average a single point less than ISU on the season. I understand the ISU v Iowa hate between the two programs, but if you take a step back, believe it or not, it is possible to enjoy watching basketball being played by a team not from Ames.

What if they didn't have Pete Jok though? Yikes, Weiskamp isn't coming until 2018 and no more double teams or teams focusing their D on PJ.

How can you say Iowa didn't deserve to lose Minnesota but they deserved to win last night when they were gifted 3 points? The Minnesota game was just a change of possession because Ellingson put himself in a terrible spot. Last night was WAY worse

From what I see, they are a young, developing team who has benefited from playing in a historically bad conference. If they somehow squeaked in, I don't think they'd have a fighting chance against a 6-7 seed. Nice, over-achieving bunch, but not good enough to make any noise in the tournament.
