Seemingly never ending Iowa MBB thread (still going.....)

Yeah I don't remember them ever getting a hose job like we did against KU in 2013 or anything like that. Don't understand why they complain about officiating when I think they have had some good fortune with refs. Temple game comes to mind

Oh, heck no, nothing close to that level of a hose job against Kansas. Woodbury did get away with a pretty blatant push to beat Temple also.

Anybody else ever try to read posts without looking at the username & guess who posted it? I think I have a few posters from this thread pegged, I can tell they posted it 9/10 times.

jereseib- Pretty much constantly defending B1G, Iowa, & trying to rationalize why he thought our team/coach sucked

Cytwins- Constantly baiting the Iowa fans with trolly posts. Sometimes with factual info, much of it exaggerated, though.

1976- Kind of like cytwins, but a lot more exaggerated. 96% of posts are about how horrible Iowa/B1G is.

Sportsfan10- Usually the one who takes their bait. Wants to make sure everyone knows how much he could or couldn't care less about things. Would rather watch shows like Gilmore Girls than top 25 college basketball.

Yeahbuddy- Somewhat rational hawk fan who responds to twins/1976 probably more than he should. Does get trolly from time to time.

There's 1 more I can think of, I think it's Splitidentity but could be wrong. Just pops in occasionally to post blatant trolling bits to get a reaction out of ISU fans. It's usually like he doesn't even try to be clever with it, pretty poor effort really.
Iowa and the Big 10 are pretty horrible ;-)

22 to be exact, Ellingson who is a 100% free throw shooter should have been at the line for 2 shots which would have put them up 4. You could argue Minnesota could have came back from 4 down and I wont disagree with you, but it definitely decreased the odds of Iowa winning.

They didn't even come close to fouling Ellingson

Well I think it did. Iowa was up 2 with 18 seconds to go. They clearly called a timeout and the Minnesota defender was out of bounds when he tied him up. Also, that was about the fastest I've ever seen a jump ball get called. Up 2 with the ball with under 20 seconds to go with great FT shooters in Jok and Bohannon and I think Iowa wins that game 95% of the time or more.

That ref ran around the guy out of bounds also just so he could make some dramatic call and get the fans all pumped up. You could see he was just waiting to pounce and try to insert himself in the game.

I have most of the Hawks on ignore, there are a few new-ish/retread ones I haven't pulled the trigger on yet. So I will ponder who Cyclone fans are responding to and then sometimes check to see if I was right or not.

What do you disagree with?

There was more than 18 seconds left, Iowa inbounded it and immediately got trapped. Nothing makes me think with that mentally weak roster they would be able to inbound it without getting it stolen or make 2 free throws and stop Minnesota.

They didn't in bound anything. They stole the ball and ellingson had the ball in the corner. I actually just looked it up and it was 22 seconds left. Iowa up 2 with the ball with great free throw shooters on the court wins that game almost every time.

They would have had to inbound the ball to a good free throw shooter and make them on the road for a team that is about as mentally weak as their coach. I mean Ellingson gets the ball and immediately dribbles to the corner of the court lol

You have no idea what happened. If it happened to ISU, you would say you were robbed. Ellingson didn't dribble to the corner. He was passed the ball in the corner. He yelled for a TO and it wasn't given.

That isnt true. Baer got a steal and passed to Ellingson who was then trapped and "tied up for a jump ball" with 22 seconds left.

Iowa had 3 guys on the court at or above 90% FT for the year. The game was damn close to over.

Definitely didn't cost them the game, there was like 30 seconds left and even if Iowa got the timeout they tried calling they would have had to try to inbound the ball again or get fouled and make free throws.
It definitely changed the last 30 seconds of the game. Might not of cost Iowa the game, but it definitely hurt Iowa's chances of winning.

If the same thing happened to Iowa State in that situation, you guys would of been ******** till the sun came up.

Definetely didn't cost Iowa the game. I'm talking about a situation like the KU game in 2013 or the Temple game last year that screwed over the Owls.

I know I said I wouldn't bring it up, but in the Trump era promises mean nothing so...what seed will TCU be this year considering I was told they were NCAA locks?
