2) When we beat Tech they showed Iowa as our only "bad loss" of the season and maybe this would get them just into a so so loss and not such a black scar on our resume anymore.

I would probably say no. Their RPI was like 120 coming into this game

No. Their RPI is awful. They would need to win out and at least get to the BTT championship. The Big 10 didn't have a a top 4 seed in the early peek at the bracket. Today was not a good day for the Big Ten.
