Seemingly never ending Iowa MBB thread (still going.....)

I was just going by what 247 had their composite rankings as. But, I think my point still stands, Fran recruits better than a lot of teams based off rankings.

Funny, I feel the same way about Naz.

The rest of your guys are fairly tolerable.

Except Naz has earned his right to play with bit of arrogance. He's, you know, on his way to his 5th NCAA tournament, has won 2 Big 12 Championships, played in numerous big games, made several game winning shots, and has a chance to be Iowa State's all time 3 point shot leader.

You're averaging 11 points on a barely .500 team, and you're staring down a dude that will be playing in the league next year for a dunk that he didn't even contest. Tone it down a bit.

FIFY

And Naz hasnt played that way this season only, hes always been like that.

To feel the need to talk **** to opposing fans, as he did when he drained a 3 Monday night in Lubbock early in the game, is low class.

How will you guys replace the number of on court huddles he facilitates next year? He has to be leading the country in that.

No kidding, who wants a leader on the team anyways

Not worried about next year. Worried about Saturday afternoon.

D'ok. Plain and simple Cook looked like a tool. I'd be embarrassed if that were a guy on my team in a meaningless game, talking **** to a guy that's twice the player.

If it takes a few guys in the front row for Naz to get going, great. But I guess we will never know what his attitude would be like playing in a meaningless Tuesday night game in February, seeing as in 5 years every game he's played in has had NCAA implications.

So, I'm obviously a little late to the game here, but I just saw this put-back dunk from Baer. Everything about the sequence of events following the dunk (the dunk included to some degree) screamed amateur hour to me. The Tiger Woods fist pump was perfectly executed, however. For those that didn't see it, but want to enjoy it:

Had a few putback dunks in Lied in the early 00's, and I can confirm that this is a totally normal reaction. Me and my buddies would usually do the fly around like airplanes for a few minutes, flex in front of the other team, and we were doing ****-fives way before Gessell and Woodbury; then we'd get right back to playing some serious b-ball. I'll try to tweet him with some other ideas.
