Seemingly never ending Iowa MBB thread (still going.....)

I'm not sure why ISU fans are so confident they will get into the dance this year. Seems like they are squarely on the bubble. Their season could go either way at this point.
Because we beat KU at KU. If we get to 9-9 in the best conference in the country and a huge win like that, we are in. Period. And I'm certain we will get at least 3 wins....probably more like 4 or 5.

At that point in the season did anyone know if Iowa was better than UNO? Obviously Iowa State is better than Texas this year. What an odd thing to try to troll about, be better than that

Must have been Texas' Super Bowl. Only explanation for such an upset.

I'm very confident we will get into the dance this year. I know that's the only hope you guys have since your team sucks and all but we're all good here

What do you think ISU's record will be going into KC?

I see 17-13.

OU- W
@KSU- L
TCU- W
@TTU- L
BU- L
OSU- W
@WVU- L

Based on the RPI Wizard that puts their RPI at 57 going into the Big XII tourney.

The most likely win above of the losses I have is at TTU, in my opinion. If you switch that to a W and have them at 18-12 then the RPI changes to 44. The margin is very slim.

18-12, playing in the best conference in basketball with arguably the best win of the season. Yeah I'm not worried at all. I know you guys would rather have us lose than you guys win at this point

So 18-12 without a win in the Big 12 Tourney is a lock? I think that is on the outside looking in myself.

Here is how I see the schedule:
OU- W
@KSU- Toss UP
TCU- W
@TTU- W
BU- Toss Up
OSU- W
@WVU- L

If we split KSU and Baylor who we almost beat down there, we get to 11 wins. Lose them both and we are still fine with 10 wins.

Going 10-8 in the #1 conference would get you in no questions asked. Not a difficult concept.
Yes absolutely. Especially with such a soft bubble and a win at KU. Keep praying we don't make it hok fans. It will be fun to see you cry when we do.

ISU is in as long as they don't pull an Iowa

If you think they're on the bubble you aren't paying very close attention to college basketball. They were on the right side of the bubble before beating Kansas.

18-13 (10-8) with a first round loss to KSU in the tourney puts your RPI right at 50. That is winning out in Hilton and losing out on the road.

That is bubble territory, although I think you would be in.

There is 0.0% chance a team with a winning record in the big 12 doesn't get in. That's not a bubble team, even if you switch the KU & Texas results.

Not worried either way. Just think ISU fans are over confident they get in when they are currently sitting at 6-5 in conference and 14-9 overall and the team hasn't been consistent all year. I think you guys get in myself, but ISU is far from a lock that all of you make it out to be at this point.

We are in at 9-9 with a win at the Phog. The bubble is crazy soft this year and there aren't multiple mid major leagues that will get more than one bid.

Says the Iowa fan on a Cyclone website pretending not to care. We are very close to a lock and will be playing in the dance in March while you compete in the CBI or maybe if things go right, the NIT.
