Did you vote Uthoff for the D League All Star game this year? I saw Nader made it

I didn't realize we were arguing. Hold on just a second, I take the internet really seriously, let me look through some of your posts so I can get REALLY mad!
maybe argument was too strong of a word. sorry i hurt your feelings. It's more a difference in how we see things. You are struggling to see reality. Cyclone basketball and football are trending up, hok sports are basically a sinking ship right now.

Ahh, a koolaid drinker! Rhoads was the man too, about 5 years ago, and we know how that ended. Bowl game in 2017 for ISU? Lofty expectations for a team that hasn't won more than 3 games in how many years? Given, the B12 does suck at football, and when no defense gets played, you can sneak some wins here and there.
And those strong Big 10 defenses (read: total lack of offense) haven't been repeatedly getting exposed by other conferences in CFP time? How long has it been since a Big 10 team scored any points whatsoever in the CFP? The Big 12 has scored in the CFP more recently with less teams being in it.

Question for you, who do you think is going to win a bowl game first, ISU or UI? ISU hasn't even been to a bowl game since 2012, and hasn't won one since 2009 (you beat us there -- your last win was 2010). Taking the bowl games UI has been in since then (of which there are 5), UI has won zero of them and has been outscored in them by 80 points collectively. If UI and ISU both go to a bowl game, who would you rather bet on to win?

All I have is this: Campbell's record in bowl games is 2-1, at Toledo. Playing against lower teams, but also coaching a G5 team himself. Ferentz is 6-8, carrying a 5-loss streak, with 3 of those losses with his team coming in first or second in division. Seems to me that Campbell would be the smarter money, if we even get there at all. If UI gets there, put the mortgage on the other team.

I'd say our football looks more promising, I don't know about basketball though. Next year may be a rebuilder for ISU basketball, we lose a lot. UI doesn't lose much beyond Jok (granted, he is most of the team). We'll see how that goes for everyone.

As for football, UI is basically hinging that Stanley doesn't totally suck. If he does, they are going to have a very one-dimensional offense (again: not unusual in the defensive powerhouse B1G)

Cyclone basketball is not necessarily trending up at this point, but we certainly are not free-falling like most Hoks seem to believe.

Compared to the hoks we are. We are going to make our 6th straight dance, and have a great recruiting class coming in. Sure we might struggle some next year, but the future is bright.

I think Wieskamp will be good but not sold on Fran's kids. That said, ISU has probably had 20 players that could play the point better than anything Fran has had in his 7 years.

And Wieskamp will probably end up and UNC after he sees what a dumpster fire the Iowa basketball program has become.

The team will be worse next year, but the program is absolutely trending up. 6 years with AA's and nationally relevant basketball teams is paying dividends.

For the record, Lindell is now the #41 player in the class, exact same as Wieskamp for '18. Give me the PG all day though.

Don't mean to imply we are going to be bad, or we are trending downward. Just find it odd to say we are trending up when we expect a set-back year next year. I think it is one of the best recruiting classes we will ever bring in, but still going to take our lumps.

I think the kind of recruits we are getting still says we are trending up. I still think we make the dance next year so this program is pointing in the right direction. Iowa....is pointing down the toilet.

i usually go opposite here.
