Seemingly never ending Iowa MBB thread (still going.....)

Pretty sure this is after Iowa beat #1 ranked MSU last year.

The Houdini act Iowa State pulled to win that game and have it capped by Monte's runner... that is a lot of damn emotion in a rivalry game and it boiled over onto the court.

Yeah, the emotion of the last seconds of that game made the students boil over with excitement that had been consistently building for an hour. I wasn't happy when our fans stormed the court against an unranked Iowa, but as I said earlier an emotional win causes fans to act in ways that isn't the norm. Take the OU comeback game for example. That team was better than the Iowa team we beat, we came back from a larger deficit and in a shorter amount of time, we didn't storm the court because we won by 7, the comeback happened and finished at the like 4 minute mark, then the last 4 minutes were us holding on to the lead that never seemed in doubt once we took it. IMO it was a way more impressive win, but wasn't reacted to the same way as the Iowa game because of said reasons.

Wait, are you talking about the ISU/OU game last year? The game where OU was ranked #1 in the country.

ISU beats unranked Iowa and storms the court.

ISU beats #1 ranked team in the country who is also in the same conference and doesnt storm the court.

If that doesnt scream "Super Bowl!!" I am not sure what does.

I think he meant two years ago. Last year ISU stormed the court against OU.

Iowa fans love beating Iowa State. Iowa State fans love beating Iowa. It's a rivalry.

We did storm the court after beating #1 Oklahoma dummy
 
First 1000 students at CHA tonight get a free blackout t-shirt. No idea what they do with the extra 750 left over.
