Re: Iowa MBB definitely not even a #5 seed

If you take away mich st. & Purdue, Iowa's best wins are RPI #48 & #68. On the other hand, if you take away penn st. and Illinois, they don't have any bad losses either.

Re: Iowa MBB definitely not even a #5 seed

If this is what you meant, then you should have said this. You are the king of semantics, so I'm basically just holding you to your own standards. No biggie, we all say stupid stuff from time to time, just own it and move on.

I can't keep up anymore. Are you one of the dozens of obsessed Iowa fans who comes here pretending to be a cyclone from your mom's basement?

I seriously can't keep the real fans separate from the obsessed jealous Iowa fans posing as Cyclones anymore. It's an epidemic. We need to get CDC involved to study it.

He also may have one of the worst shots in the country. What a disappointment he has been. Actually thought he'd be good when coming out of high school as a 4 star recruit

That award may go to someone else on their team - Uhl.

Re: Iowa MBB now a projected #1 seed

Did something change or is this not still in play here? I really am surprised Hawk fans didn't learn their lesson two years ago that basketball season doesn't end in January

Where'd ISU beat Iowa by one point? And why'd you leave that out of your post?!!! Use any ranking system you want to, Iowa is better than ISU.

This year in athletics has to be about as bad as it gets for cyclone fans. Chirp all off season about Ferentz and Iowa football being on the way down and it turns into a top ten, coach of the year program. You bring in a MAC program to replace yours and jump for joy over an OL that begged for an Iowa offer but was told no thanks.

Chirp all off season about isu basketball being a final four possible team and niang being player of the year candidate. What happens, Fran and the basketball program is in discussions for a #1 seed and uthoff is up for wooden. You get beat down by the worst uni team in 5 years and you may have to watch Iowa playing in the NCAA's in des Moines.

You do have your super bowl, which for most of you is all that matters.

I would feel bad for you but why, things are where they are meant to be. That's why its called a Hawkeye state I guess.

Just wait.... Iowa hasn't had their mid to late season melt down yet. The universe will right itself, Fran will throw/kick something, and balance will be restored.

Where were the games played? Iowa is better than ISU.

Let's put it this way, people. I would MUCH RATHER lose a scrimmage to Augustana than lose a real game to UNI this year. They are probably worse than Augustana anyways.

Those were the days my friend.

Re: Iowa MBB definitely not even a #5 seed

My obnoxious pantherhawk neighbor was calling for Mad Fran as national coach of the year about a month ago. Now he wants him fired. Seems maybe somewhere in the middle is appropriate but he is a man of extreme mood swings.

Granted I didn't watch the game yesterday, just listened on the radio during second half, but it sounds like his starting lineup isn't the best. I guess he's never going to not start Woody, but one of their radio guys really hates Clemmons.

We were better against Illinois with our smaller lineup, I think that was the game Jameel wasn't too happy on the bench late. Not sure if Woody was just that bad or if maybe going smaller is what you need to do against that team.

He's just that bad. Losing him might be addition by subtraction for the Hoks.
