We like to win. The players like to win. I hope they win. They could lose as they play a top 10 team vs. Iowa's tough opponent who was 155 in the RPI before today.

Only thing winning 2-3 games in this tourney would do is possibly go from a 4/5 seed to a 3 seed...so In That respect it would be beneficial but if we play 3 straight games and stay a 4/5 seed...4 really if we play that many then I'm not sure I want that for this team honestly. I def want to win tonight as that would prob solidify Isu as 4 seed without question.

enjoy it. Don't fall into the easy trap of worrying about how this will work out well for Iowa. They lost to a ****** team today. Only one school in the state will be able to say that.

Even if some of the recruits pan out you still have Mad Fran as your coach.

It's the most predictable finish in the country. I said right after Iowa missed a shot at the minute mark that Illinois was going to hit a shot to take a 2-possession lead, then Gesell would do Gesell things (either get swatted or stripped) and Iowa would have to foul, and Illinois would win by 5 or 6. Illinois missed a wide open 3, but then Gesell did Gesell things so well that he didn't even give Iowa a chance to foul.

He also may have one of the worst shots in the country. What a disappointment he has been. Actually thought he'd be good when coming out of high school as a 4 star recruit
