Re: Iowa MBB definitely not a #1 seed

I'll just say this; I think Iowa will be a very difficult #4 or #5 seed if they can get back to their late-Jan form. "IF" - either way, senior-led teams can be very good in the Dance

"Live by the 3, die by the 3" If they get hot, they could absolutely be dangerous.

But if they play like they have for 70% of their season it's looking like they're pretty much toast.

It's really been Iowa's game plan so far.

Re: Iowa MBB definitely not a #1 seed

I've said it once and I'll say it again, the most overrated Iowa football and basketball teams in history were both this year.

Re: Iowa MBB definitely not even a #3 seed

If Iowa is in top 15 it's because they are confusing Iowa with ISU...seriously. They've lost 2 straight to unrsnked teams and lost 4 of 5...by end of conf season predicting Iowa won't be in top 30 RPI...ouch. And with a SOS hovering around 40th that has 7 seed written all over it.

7 seed for them this year sounds about right at this point. Last year they should have been an 8 or 9, but were fortunate.

Don't look now but Iowa has one less loss than Iowa State, and they don't have the wins ISU does. So book it, tomorrow, Iowa only falls to 10 in the new AP poll, ISU 25th. LOCK.

Not sure if serious.... Honestly

Re: Iowa MBB definitely not even a #3 seed

Remember preseason when Iowa fans were saying they didn't care about basketball?

LOL, that's telling of how crazy the polls/upsets have been this season. For the record I hope ISU stays inside the top 20, but these losses keeping piling up. If ISU can win tomorrow night and win in Lawrence I think it erases the Baylor loss at home, and then some.

Re: Iowa MBB definitely not a #1 seed

RPI is only 22, think they'll drop 15 spots in one week? AP will probably still have them pretty high.

They'll be a hell of a lot closer. The RPI isn't absolute.

Re: Iowa MBB definitely not even a #3 seed

I've been stuck at a volleyball tournament all weekend, so missed all of both games. Slowly getting caught up. #1, loving the Matt Thomas shooting. #2, where the **** did that throwdown come from, Gesell? No idea he could do that.

Iowa St will stay about the same. They got beat by a higher ranked team on the road, and won handily at home. I'm guessing, Iowa and Iowa St will be pretty close, around 15-18.
