Re: Iowa MBB now a projected #1 seed

Iowa actually has a somewhat difficult stretch to close the season out. They continue to play like that and we may see a repeat of two years ago when they went full on meltdown mode.

It does help they don't play again until next Thursday, at home against Wisconsin. They have 8 days to right the ship, before a home game against a middle of the road, although surging, Wisconsin team. Win that, they're back on track, but if they lose, they may be in danger. Their game after that is at Ohio St.

Re: Iowa MBB now a projected #1 seed

So your point is that Iowa has a higher rpi and one bad loss? Or what?

You asked for a link to show that ISU has not lost to a team as bad as Penn State. I provided it.

Furthermore, UNI has won 6 straight. You have to go back to last year to find Penn States last 6 wins.

Penn States RPI is 11 spots lower not including this game.

Re: Iowa MBB now a projected #1 seed

I guess time will tell. I'm projecting them at a #3 seed. The team they put on the floor the last 3 games will lose 2-3 more.

Well, there is 1. I thought losing 3 might be a stretch. Now I'm thinking it's likely.

If they bow out early in the conference tourney, may be dropping down to a 4 seed.

Is a 4 seed bye-bye Des Moines?
