Oh JFC dude, the Big 10 is bad no doubt, but you live in a bubble? The SEC is by far the worst power 5 conference every year and its not even close. Go look at RPI rankings, Big 10 is ahead of the SEC and Pac-12.

Some of you guys make the dumbest statements without even researching or actually think about what you post.
I'm not a fan of RPI. Indiana beat UNC and KU early in the year. Some games are real head scratchers especially early. But as the year has progressed I think it's pretty obvious that the Big 10 has maybe 1 good team. How many top 10 teams are in the top 10? Let's look at the bottom of the conference; who in the SEC is as bad as Rutgers? The range of the Big 10 conference is 1 above average team, a bunch of teams who are below average, and a few dog crap teams at the bottom. It's the worst Power 5 conference in the country.

bohannon wasnt too bad last night. he has a lot of work to do in the offseason to get up the level of gesell. bohannon ceiling will be similar to gesell but he is a bit better at 3 point shooting and has a couple inches. pretty impressed with cook; i think he will be good for the hawks; love the twinkle in his eye. i like pemsl but he seems to be a defensive liablity. as far as frans kid he is okay but not elite talent. moss reminds me of a mid major pg. just not sure who will be the pg next year. fran subs are just terrible; taking bohannon who was pg all ot out with 34 seconds left. geez if you can trust your pg you got some problems. i dont care if he is a frosh.

Bohannon is smaller than Gesell was

Stopped reading there. Clearly you know nothing about basketball. I didn't watch the entire game, but what I saw made me say "wow I hope that guy is Iowa's point guard for all 4 years". He has no business playing major college basketball as a point guard.

So you dont think Missouri or LSU is on the same level as Rutgers bad? Lets forget for a second how bad the SEC is. Lets talk about the Pac-12, they are alot worse than the SEC.

They have 3 good teams followed by complete garbage. Oregon State is alot worse than Rutgers, theyve won 4 games all season!!

In fact the Big 10's RPI is actually closer to the Big 12 than the PAC-12 is to the Big-10. But yeah, youre right, its by far the worst conference this year.

I'll give you the bottom of the Pac 12 is bad, but the top 3 would very easily when the Big 10. There just isn't anyone in the Big 10 that strikes fear into your heart like Kansas or Baylor or WVU, and honestly the way we (Iowa State) are playing we are better than everyone in the Big 10. The conference is just a collection of mediocrity.

JorBo has little room to grow as a PG. There aren't a lot of things you can do to fix being slow and unathletic. I get that when he's hot he can make some 3's but he also requires a lot of spacing to get his shot off because he's small. The struggle will feel very real when Iowa doesn't have a player next year that every team has to build their defensive scheme around...

PAC-12 has 5......count them....5 teams at or below .500 overall. Thats pushing 50% of your entire conference that cant even get above .500.

Thats really bad basketball at the bottom of the conference, but yep, 1976 is right, Big 10 is by far the worst power-5 conference.

Yeah, I would agree that UCLA, Oregon, and Arizona are better than any Big 10 team, but once you get past those 3 the conference is a complete joke. I would matchup any Big 10 team with the remaining 9 Pac-12 teams.

What about Missouri? There is no way you can say they are better than Rutgers. At least Rutgers has won 13 games this year while Missouri losses to Eastern Illinios and SWAC teams in their home gym. Rutgers doesnt have anywhere close to that horrible of losses.

I think teams like Cal or Utah would pound teams like Rutgers, Ohio State, and Iowa but I guess we will never know. So outside of the top 3 the Pac 12 is bad. But the Pac 12 top 3 >>>>>>>>>>the Big 10 top 3. The rest of the teams in both conferences are garbage. We can argue about whose trash smells worse, but we really will never know unless they play.

MIssouri is bad, but the SEC has 9 teams better than most of the Big 10.

Or you could just look at RPI and know the Big 10 is alot better top to bottom. The Pac-12 is so bad that even with 3 teams hovering around the Top 10 all season its still well behind the Big 10 and SEC even. So that just further proves my point.

So think middle teams like Ole Miss, Tennesse, Alabama are better than teams like Michigan State and Minnesota? Why will the SEC only get 3 teams in the tourney then?
