SEC Myth - Iowa Nice Guy

It was funny but the video he was mocking was more than true and alot funnier.

I personally disagree with him. The SEC had 7 NC's in a row (Florida, LSU, Bamax3 and Auburn from 2006 to 2012). I personally don't feel it is a bias or myth when the facts are there to prove it is the best conference.

Maybe next year he can MC the Iowa version of Hilton Madness since he likes Iowa so much.

A guy in an Iowa shirt is suggesting that schedules in the SEC are not tough?

this is very funny stuff.... Funny part to me would be if the SEC all ends with 1 or more lose teams, Hoks lose to Indiana but still make the B10 title than win that.... Clemson loses to FSU, than FSU lose ACC title game, one of Baylor, TCU or OU win out, and one other is 1 lose. Pac-12 continues to unravel the non-Power5 teams stay undefeated (memphis, Houston, Toledo)..... Who is in the playoffs???

Meh. The original was better. Im sure it will be trumpeted around social media this week by all Hawk fans.

Nice try, nice guy. The video was made by a pair of guys from New York and Pensylvania, I believe. The diversion worked.

Yes, but part of the SEC's run was due to them always getting a team into the title game because of their perceived superiority (Alabama getting in over OSU for a rematch against LSU in 2011 despite OSU playing a tougher schedule and having more top 25 wins). If we didn't have the playoff system last year, Alabama would have been in title game again and probably beat Oregon, despite not actually being the best team in the country.

im sorry I watched that and gave ia nice guy another tally on the views. Why would we let this guy host an isu event? Anyone wearing an hawk shirt should have nothing to do with cyclone athletics.

having a national champion team in a conference does not inherently make the conference tough. It just means that one team was good.

The SEC contains the best college football players in the country. Teams on the other hand, not so profound.

The SEC is pretty top heavy just like a lot of conferences. The fact that they have 4 non-conference, most of them creampuff, and schedule them throughout the year (to get breaks) makes them have a big advantage over other conferences. They're still very good.

Siepker can be pretty funny but that was pretty meh. It will go viral because Hassel will make sure it gets aired on ESPN but I think it could have been a lot funnier

The way ESPN pumps the SEC does get annoying. Do they have more NCs in the last 10 years, yeah, but it also helps when you can lose as many games as everyone else and know you get the nod. Especially when they let 2 from the same conference play each other for it.

Drove me nuts watching the Ole Miss game on Saturday. The one announcer kept asking, "How do you keep a 2 loss Ole Miss team out of the playoff, if they run the table in the SEC?"

His sidekick kept saying, "We could have a few unbeatens and other one loss teams, don't see how you give Ole miss the nod over them."

Basically, the guy kept saying though, well, when you win the SEC, you are the best team.

Then they went on to talk about how there should be 2 teams from the SEC. So, the narrative has already started.

I would argue that if Florida wins out their regular season and LSU wins out their regular season. Those 2 teams play in the SEC Championship and Florida wins that both LSU and Florida should be in the Playoff.

The SEC East may not be strong this year but it is still significantly stronger than the Big Ten West.

I thought it was funny. The kids were pretty good actors. Siepker has been pretty open that he cheers for both teams. Relax, people.
