From a $'s standpoint, I would guess the combination of higher prices and more tickets will bring in $2-3 million more than last year.
dont forget that 28,000 number only includes an estimated 7,000 student tickets...and 7,800 have been alotted. theoretically we should be able to sell out of student tickets and we are actually only ~1,200 short.
Has anyone in the AD ever said why there is a limit of 7800 student tickets? It's not like we turn people away at the gate because there is nowhere to sit. Why not sell 10K or more? 7800 is only 1/3 of all students-seems we could be hitting that market deeper, plus once you get them hooked as students, more will keep buying if they stay close to Central Iowa after graduating.

we need to not just beat it but blow it away with at least 40m tickets.
We would probably need a new stadium for that.
