I would argue that he's a perfect fit for that role coming off the bench...he can come in an spark us with his defense, hustle, and basketball IQ. Scoring like he has is an added bonus.

This is why I think the starting lineup will stay what it is now when everyone is healthy.
SC, Colvin and Dendy provide so much energy to the game, it would almost be a shame to have any of them start. Then can really come into a game and change the tempo of the game immediately.
Agree with both of you, it's great to have someone come of the bench and maintain scoring and defense. It never feels like there is a first team and second team in the game if we maintain bench play like this.
It'll be much easier to absorb "off nights" this way too. If someone isn't hitting, next man in.

Especially against teams that play seven-deep. Bringing energy guys against opposing defenses that have already ran the court for 15+ minutes is huge. Fresh body, high energy, capable scorer against someone who hasn't subbed out, and realistically can't because the bench is too thin, is a luxury few teams have. I can't remember a time in the last 20 years where we've had so much scoring potential on the bench.

I don't think it matters if he is in the starting lineup... he is playing about the same amount as Lucca and Gilstrap, he has been our 6th man this year. May as well leave the starting lineup the same and not mess with chemistry.
He is pretty much everything that I had hoped that Eikmeier would have been in year three in the program. Too bad Wes didn't take a redshirt year, so he could have gotten a little stronger and more comfortable in the system. It would have been nice to have another player like that for two years after Christopherson graduated. You gotta have those heady players out there that can knock down the jumpers and create their own shot if needed. Christopherson really has impressed me thus far...
SC was pretty much everything I expected him to be, but I was surprised at how big (muscular) he is. The kid is ripped. You can tell he spent his year off last year in the weight room. That's something I don't think Eik will ever be.
BTW, I have completely forgotten, where did Eik end up?
He ended up at Colorado State. Yeah, it sounds like he didn't really want to do the physical work it would require to be a Big 12 player. I think he definitely would have been an impact player down the road, if he did decide to take the year off to build himself up. Oh, well...
THIS. It's great to be able to finally force teams to adjust to our style of play rather than trying to tweak our line-ups to fit theirs.

It may be too early to tell if this is true.
My hope is that he isn't left completely out and that he stays positive about whatever role he's asked to perform.
He's lacking behind the other guards defensively and that is why his minutes have dropped. But remember...CC is a FRESHMAN...IF he hits that wall, we'll need Buck to step up big time...
