Simply say "scoreboard."My Hawkeye friends are claiming Scotty should have been ejected for his "throat slashing" gesture which I informed them was a "you can't guard me" gesture.
They had no problem with Cael getting flipped off in a wrestling match, but a "you can't guard me" gesture is cause for ejection. Unreal. I now know why I avoid talking to these guys on Iowa State vs. Iowa game days.
I didn't see it, but was he maybe shaking his hand in front of his mouth and blowing on it, like "damn my hands are on fire!!"???
Yeah... I can think of a lot of classy Hawkeyes over the years that Iowa fans just loved. Like Metcalf... or how about Matt Roth? Classy. DJK anyone?
Scott is very clearly doing the "You can't see me." It is in no way a throat slash. I can understand where it might be hard to get what he is doing if you don't watch wrestling or know who John Cena is, but Scott is basically messing around with it. Tim Thomas and Deshawn Stevenson have both done it as well. See #8: Celebrating in style: the NBA's best gestures, part 2 - The Daily Princetonian I remember A-rob doing it after a touchdown a couple years ago.
It really is more of a lighthearted thing but if it pisses off the most d-bag fanbase in the country then I support it even more.
Jake Jaaks (sp?)
I took it as like the game is over gesture. I like all of the emotion both fanbases have of this game. Its great to have a rivalry back again!
There's your problem right there. You have picked some bad friends. My Hawkeye friends
More emotion showed in that instant > all of McD's tired *** tenure over MBB.
Loved it!
Ha....haven't heard that name in awhile. I still remember watching him get blasted in the face with an in-bounds pass on purpose because he was being a d-bag.
Well those Hawk fans are idiots. They need to go buy some more from DJK.
Considering DJK was not arrested for selling drugs, nor are there any implications that he has ever sold drugs....that comment doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
