Playing devil's advocate a little bit - if you take Lawry out of the equation - how does that affect the list?

Please don't get me wrong - I think this could be the best class we've had here in a very long time (possibly ever) and I am very excited to see these players develop and contribute on the field. I just think that the list could be a little misleading since Lawry had so many BCS offers.

On the flip side, the number of players receiving BCS offers has increased (as pointed out by isufrEEk), which is a very encouraging sign.

I see where you're headed but imo it doesn't diminish the thesis of the OP. We ARE getting better recruits and more of them. In the past we would've whiffed on Lawry...now we close the deal. It's not as if we got Lawry and a slew of 2*s. The OP makes a valid and positive point.
