Scholarships available?

On the post game show they talked about how the coaches would be busy recruiting during the bye week. I notice the Cyclones have 20 commits for 2019. How many scholarships are open? I'm guessing a lot of that will be recruits beyond 2019.

Games like the last 2 weeks have to help recruiting not just for next year but going forward.

That's probably one of the most difficult things a coach has to do in college football. For minor infractions everybody deserves a second chance. Sometimes a third chance. If a coach is too strict he it can cause problems. On the other hand if he sweeps everything under the rug the coach can wreck the program and his own career - like Baylor.

That's probably even harder than the X's and O's in many cases.
