Saint Louis- Family Vacation- What to Do

The Scott Joplin Museum is cool because at the end of the tour, a piano player plays his music. Walking through the home and seeing how music shaped that part of St. Louis was cool, but at the end listening and talking to the piano player was the best. It's about 1 hour so that's a long time for young kids though. St. Louis University was host for the 1904 Olympics also. You can drive up to the track and take a few pics. Good Stuff.

Zoo--gets real busy on weekends, Last year needed timed entry reservations. I recommend going 1st thing when it opens.

Hannibal on the way down?

Also, buy tickets online in advance for the arch. Its usually sold out the day of, currently limited admissions.

Came here to suggest Hannibal and to buy Arch tickets in advance

The zoo was already added along with the main items you noted. The ball park is great place to see a game.

Shaw's Garden. It is is one of the oldest botanical gardens in the US and impressive.
Go to Ted Drewes for evening treat.

I remember going to Hannibal as a kid and thinking it was the most boring place I’ve ever been too.

Forest Park (Zoo, boat house, etc)
Magic House
Delmar Loop
Cards Baseball game
Science Center
Botanical Gardens
Gioia's Deli-Hot Salami is incredible and won a James Beard award
Central West End
Fox Theatre

I enjoyed my time in STL and it's a great town, but you have to be aware of your surroundings.

When you see a local stop and say "Excuse me Homes? What it is Bro!"

We were planning to be there this week but with COVID going bananas down there we decided to just stay home. Other than that I have nothing really to add. We were going to do Grants Farm, Zoo, City Museum and Union Station.

Definitely go to Ted Drewes for frozen custard, it's one of the most famous dessert shops in the country for a good reason.

The old stadium had tours with a cards museum in the lower area. If new one has the same it could be great to do.
Isn't the Negro Leagues Museum still there?
