I went in gate 2(?) right off the bridge and got in fine probably 1/2 hr before kick off. What went wrong when you went through?
It's always hard to get in the gate ten minutes before kickoff.
We queued up at the north gate (1?) about 30 minutes before kickoff and stood in line for about 15 minutes
Honestly in today's pricey athletic world, I don't think that cost is that bad. I feel like something like this would cost 10 Grand at an SEC school.
When we had our RV parked in D4 we had a lot more stop in and have a beer traffic from friends that tailgate with other groups in the Hilton lots. Being out in RV village put an end to the quick beer traffic. I didn’t like that. Everything else is awesome
This was our concern as we considered moving to the RV village. We would lose nearly 50 of our group due to the distance from available parking.

That that want to be there will make the effort to get over there. IMO the lack of generator noise and exhaust far outweighs any drawbacks. We joined @Triggermv and he pointed out the fewer number of campers. There were definitely fewer people that made the extra donation, including few if any of the converted school busses.
Mainly didn’t feel they had enough capacity now that most people are funneled across the bridge. The bridge at one point was backed up across University.
That gate also had these weird self scanners with a turn gate that were not working well.
Most likely just some bugs to be worked out.
Walked thru Friday night, looked like great detail was taken to maximize RVs and the concrete pads! I was in Vet Med lot with my camper which was pretty empty, but will be in the RV Village on Sept. 17th game. Talked to one friend that mossed the amount of friends that pop by because you are out there compared to next door to all the car parking! Looking forward to experiencing it 1st hand next home game!!!

The self-scanners did seem weird and less efficient--plus, there still was a human there watching the scanner. But I am older, so anything new seems weird to me.
I saw multiple people in front of me that the self scanner wouldn’t read their phone or paper so the worker standing by it had to grab the person working the line next to them with the hand scanner.
I understand worker shortages but the self scanners were a bottle neck and a little odd.
At OU, everyone scans their own tickets. Many just walk in. I suppose if there is an issue, you just have people present their tickets to an usher. (Although, I don’t remember seeing an usher).
Only issue would be students being GA and you could have 10k enter with only 7k having tickets and have a mess.
I have no issue with scanning own tickets as I’ve been to other places that use it fine. But for whatever reason the ones at JTS yesterday were not working smoothly and caused backups on the lines they were being used.
The setup is fine. The scanners on posts need some tweaking. Seemed like the hand scanners people used last year were faster. I saw lots of people have an issue getting scanned by the scanners on the posts.
I’m about 90% sure the kid scanning my junior cyclone club tickets for my kids didn’t actually scan them. Just quickly went through the motions and said “next” but there was somebody that looked like a supervisor behind him. My oldest noticed and I gave the dad semi angry eyes and said “just keep walking, we’re good”.
