Just curious if anyone knows when we will find out if Royce White will be eligible to play next year? The season is getting closer and it seems like we should know sometime soon. Also, does anyone have an inside bead on how the process is going and if RW has a legit chance with the NCAA? Thanks!

I believe it was commented on when the news of his committment came out. If I remember right we won't know anything until just prior to the start of the season. My guess would be September possibly, I may be wrong, but I wouldn't expect a decision anytime soon.

I'd be willing to bet a lot of money he doesn't see the floor this year. The NCAA has no reason to do him a favor. He did something stupid and got kicked off the team, and is now transferring. Transfers have to sit out a year. I'll betcha Royce sits the year out.

November 2010 - 30.4 ppg average
December 2010 - 33.4 ppg average (including a 58 pt effort @ Iowa, sorry Lafester)
January 2011 - 27.4 ppg average
February 2011 - 27.6 ppg average
March 2011 - 25.2 ppg average - ISU wins the Big 12 Tourney....pandamonium in OKC for Hoiberg's first year.... phone calls to Gmac and Creighton AD saying thanks!!!
April 2011 - Wins National Title for Iowa State. Ames goes crazy... Johnny Orr is in the stands pumping his fist right in front of Norm Stuart and Jason Sutherland....telling him that HIS player (CFH) has had a way better post college career than 'his' golden boy.

Then I wake up from my awesome dream.

Nah, I bet he doesn't get to play because the NCAA will rule against it. Ha....

I have to disagree strongly with you. No way his PPG dips in March.

He will score 50. Nobody beats Lafester. Nobody. You hear me.

The only thing you are missing to make this the best possible dream ever is them lowering a cage from the rafters trapping Sutherland inside with CFH. CFH then goes UFC style ground and pound all over Jason Sutherlands punk *** and beats him to a bloody pulp. Dream complete.

Royce was suspended, not kicked off the team. He had been suspended indefinitely along with two other players and according to the Star Tribune, Coach Smith was quoted that "the door was still open for him to return to play." When Royce's legal issues were resolved, the AD preferred that the indefinite suspension continue. Royce asked for his release and it was granted. You are right that the NCAA has no reason to do Royce a favor, but if the NCAA looks carefully at the handling of this issue, MN might have a bigger problem on their hands than just the $1.2+ million lawsuit they lost to their former Assistant Coach, Jimmy Williams. GO CYCLONES!!!

Please please please let them actually look at the details of this case. Fred would be seen as an even bigger golden child if Royce plays this year.

Hoping for the best, expecting the worst.

:biglaugh: thats all hilarious however i still believe a national title someday with the right team is not just me drinking kool aid. Doubters here say what you will but im a firm believer it can and will happen in my lifetime

NCAA owes us one here. Maybe it was the person in charge previously, but I thought a lot of those cases were solid.

If he's scoring 25-30, who's scoring the other 40-50 pts we need to win?
