That i$ $ome tough competition. $$$$

:wideeyed:

wow. i still think if he wants to come here we(the fans) are idiots to turn him away. it seems like about a 75/25 split right now with 75% wanting him and 25% not. let's hope the 75 wins out.

Think ISU has much of a shot to land him Chris? What type of percentage do you think we have to get him?

Not Chris but I'll chime in with about a 5% chance of landing this dude. If Kentucky is in the mix, I just don't see what we can offer to convince him to play at ISU. The kid has NBA talent if he can keep his nose clean.

One thing we could offer is the chance to not be recruited over for the next 3 years of his career.

Also, not sure if anyone knows the answer to this, but being that he never played a game for Minnesota, would he still be considered a transfer and have to sit out a year?

Still don't like this move. We're just getting over a season full of team issues and we're talking about bringing in a guy with his history? I really hope Hoiberg knows what he is doing.

I think ISU has a lot to offer White. The new practice facility can compete with those others. Ames is just 2 1/2 hours down the interstate for him which seems to be important. And no other coach in the nation has more NBA GM's on speed dial than coach H, remember. Also Kentucky is absolutley loaded with NBA talent. Would he really want to compete for playing time when he could come to Ames and be the man right away?

Does anybody know if Tubby Smith and Hoiberg are close at all? Maybe Tubby has given Hoiberg a good endorsement to White. It's hard to imagine that Tubby and Fred haven't rubbed elbows once or twice with them both being in the Twin Cities for a few years.
