So we added 10 in coming guys and lost Tanner Weatherman, Will Stetzel and Tyler Swope to graduation. I have not heard of any kids not returning, but assume some are. Anybody hearing anybody not on team next year?

Austin Anderson and Joe Scanlan have graduated and started their professional careers.

They like Nolting and don't be surprise if you see him in the line-up some this season.

Assuming everybody redshirts for a lineup that probably gives

125: Larson
133: Hall
141: Boston/Meeks/Rodriguez
149: Moreno
157: Breitenbach/Rodriguez-Spencer
165: Pestano
174: Weatherspoon
184: Downey
197: Harrington
HWT: Smith

Am I overlooking anybody there?

I would agree with that. I'd heard speculation that Simmons may try to go 125, but that may have just been message board chatter. Surprised to see Dane listed at 165, I figured that was a pipe dream. Is Gabe ok to return?

Simmons is going to try 125, along with the Purdue transfer. Told that Gabe is looking at dropping a weight. Thought he was 49 last year, or was he 57?

Marmolejo is a transfer and not a freshman, but might be a redshirt freshman (Not Sure)

I have also heard Simmons is trying for 125 and Gabe for 141.

Think Dante is a 149 pounder now and Breitenbach at 165.

Have not heard how Danes' cut to 165 is going

125 - Simmons, Marmolejo (RS So.) and Larson (I will shocked if Larson is the starter this season. It will mean he got a lot better or both of the other guys struggle with the weight cutting)
141 - Meeks/Boston/Storr (Rodrigues is recovering from surgery and will RS)
149 - Gabe seriously thought about going 141 but now he plans to stay 149 (things can change but coaches expect him to be 149). If he gets re-injured then Shaw will probably take the spot.
157 - Shaw, RSR and Colston if he can make the cut (Breitenbach is planning to move up)
285 - Nolting may get some matches and push Smith

The rest of the weights are fairly set unless there is injury. The coaches are planning to RS all incoming freshmen but will wrestle a true freshmen if they are the best option. If Gabe stays healthy we should have 6 real solid weights and 4 (125, 141, 157, 285) that could end up solid or at least decent.

Talked to Gabe Saturday and now he does plan to go down to 141. Says he is weighing 152. Will be interesting how 141-165 shakes out as I'm hearing Colston looking good and plans to stay at 165.

Gabe going 141# means that Boston & Meeks doesn't have a spot on this year's starting roster. Nice to have depth but that's alot of $$ tied up o non-starters.

Meeks/Shaw will more than likely contend at 149 if Gabe becomes the 141-pounder unless Dante gets fully healed and wants to go this season. Not like the tied up $$ (that you have no idea about) if hurting the coaches ability to recruit this year!

Do I know the exact numbers, no and you have no ideal what I know. As far as the recruiting, didn't bring that topic up but since you did, I'm glad to see ISU is continuing to get in top recruits, no hating here.

Meeks is a sunk cost. No matter what happens weight wise, there will be a lot of money tied up in a guy that isn't providing much for the team.

Looks about right to me. I know that Downey plans on going 184, I'd still like to see him at 197. I think he would be a title contender there and 184 is loaded.

He's not a true 97. He's pre-season at 186 and feeling great.
