Ross Larson to Oklahoma

i am so disapointed i had my hopes up but i wish him well, he is a solid young man from a very good family
He wasn't a commit. We were after him but with guys like Meeks and McCauley in this class I doubt we had a lot of money to toss his way. Especially since he would be the backup plan for the event of Gadsen not being able to wrestle due to his shoulders. With a healthy Gadsen Larson would be looking at not seeing the mat until his senior year. At Oklahoma his chances of being varsity early on are much better.

True, but OU has a class full of ranked wrestlers. We also had to have some scholarship money open up from Doyle going a different route. Is Larson going to play baseball as well when he is at OU? This would be offering him something that ISU cannot.
I don't think we have given up on Tyler Caldwell (or possibly Andrew Howe or Travis Rutt) yet. So my guess is until Tyler (or the others) makes up his mind, Doyle's money will be saved.
I guess none of those decisions will be made until after Olympic trials.
I think we probably would have liked Ross Larson to wait, but he probably was ready to make a decision.
