Iowa matches up well against Stanford, both offensively and defensively. Christian McCaffery will fill up the box score, but Stanford won’t fill up the scoreboard. And CJ Beathard hasn’t been hit in nearly a month.

This is surprising...thought Iowa was at least physical enough to line up vs. a team like Stanford.

That said...excuses so far that I'm sure are already being brought up:
- Home game for Stanford.
-Let's see Stanford come to Kinnick.
-Should have played the game a week after the season.
-Iowa took the game too lightly and conference games only matter.
-Ferentz. Somehow. Ferentz.

I like knowing that Iowa fans are (relatively) quiet, but this is a bummer, because so far the bowl season hasn't been very interesting.
