Around the 8:10 mark of the 4th quarter, Pooka Williams comes through the middle on a pass route and Rose just decks him. WOW, what a Freshman stud we have at linebacker!

Watching that play reminded me of this
Yeah, it looks worse than it was. He was falling already when Rose hit him. Still hilarious!
Saw that and it reminded me Tim Dobbins used to do the same thing. There were usually a few pass plays every game Dobbins would knock someone down - backs, shallow crossing routes, basically anyone who came into his area.
Rose has such great instincts, can't believe he's a true freshman. Imagine where a few years of strength program and all that game experience will put him in the coming seasons. Scary thing is he's not alone... Cyclone defense gaining strength on their way to full EF-5 status!

Rose has some of those every week where it looks like a pretty average play and he hits someone a lot harder than anyone else on the field would. He had another hit in the first half like that.

To be fair, Pooka is listed at 170 lbs, so he might be even lighter than that. He met a 220 lb Mack truck in the middle.

Which is why the good choice was "Knock him down" and not "Run with him in the flat."
How are we not discussing the fact this was filmed vertically? #unacceptable
