but I was under the assumption you knew Harrison and his family? Is this not the case?

Article on Harrison Barnes (Harrison Bryce Jordan Barnes), including a reference to Ron Harris, from which the "Harrison" comes. However, Ron Harris abandoned his family before Harrison was born. The "Jordan" is indeed after Michael Jordan, of whom his mother was a fan. Neither Mom nor Harrison seem to be a fan of Ron Harris, though. Article is worth a read.
