I figured I should talk about sports today for a little bit.

FYI on Rodney,

He missed the Paul Pierce Nike camp to focus on Summer School

He will attend the Lebron James US Skills Academy this year for the second time. Last year he had some amazing plays including a fast break 360 dunk.

His finalist seem to be the UofM, KU, and ISU. His parents would like him to go to the U.

That is sweet! I thought we were long gone in the chase for him. Thank you very much for the update.

I have heard Iowa State still mentioned. It maybe that he is heading to the U and doesn't want to give it away I'm not sure. But we all know that anyone can swoop in at the last minute and take a recruit away.

-Gophers reps who watched Rodney Williams and Royce White at the Sabes Invitational tourney last weekend were hoping that the latter wouldn’t be the only local prep to sign with the Gophers. Williams, an athletic prep forward from Robbinsdale Cooper, said he’s still weighing his options. But he told me that he’s narrowed his choices down to three schools: Kansas (no official offer yet), Minnesota and another school that he didn’t name. “I’m still deciding,” he said.

I assume we are the 3rd unnamed school

Personally, I think our chances are a distant third. We're still on his list but there is a lot of space between number 1 and number 3.

I agree, I think the U of M is the leader. Which means Tubby is doing his job keeping instate players instate. Minnesota can produce basketball players that will allow him to compete in the Big 10.

He's down to Minnesota and Santa Clara. (Santa Clara assistant has big connections to the Howard Pulley Program.)

We should hire the Howard pulley coach as an assistant.
Or as Assistant director of basketball operations, since I don't think we currently have one. The Howard Puley '10 class isn't that great at all, but their '11 class is pretty darn good.

Already have one...Crawf.
